Focus on your blessings

Posted in Quotes
on July 2, 2014

I honestly cannot believe its actually July, the month I finally turn 18. I don’t know if I’m excited, or scared about it. I don’t think I want to be 18, i’m quite happy being classed as a big child.

This month I’d like all of you reading this to focus on every single blessing around you. The blessings don’t have to be anything spectacular, they can be big or small. Once you start noticing all the blessings around you, you’ll realise that these blessings have been there for a long time but you’ve been missing them for all those years.

It could be something a family member said, a stranger saying hello in the street, or even a beautiful sky when you open your curtains. All these things happen in everyday life but we’re all just blind to them because we’re too busy wrapped up in ourselves. Just go for a walk and look at the beautiful things that you see as you do so. You could take your camera and take photographs and try to capture your beautiful surroundings. And if you too are a blogger, maybe you could upload those photos to your blog for other people to see!

I hope you are all having a lovely day

PS: my blog schedule will be changing this month, I’m going to try to get 3 blog posts on every week in July. So my posts will be going up Mondays,  Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Happy May | a bit of inspiration

Posted in Quotes
on May 2, 2014

As you know, I’m a sucker for a good quote. I thought i’d start your month with a bit of inspiration to motivate and encourage you to do everything you want this May.Quote

This month I want you to LIVE. Its the easiest thing in the world to go with the flow, doing the same thing day in and day out, but that is just you existing. You are not living your life how you want to and it is important to make a difference and leave a footprint wherever you are.

Way way deep inside your heart, you have a little jar containing all your dreams, wishes and sometimes your fears. You need to dig up that jar, remove all the other stuff that is hiding it, and take off the lid. Every single thing in that jar write down on a scrap piece of paper and then write down three points about how you can accomplish that dream and how you can face that fear. Baby steps is all that you need.

Once you have worked out how you can LIVE, get doing all the things on the list! Just do them, otherwise you are falling into the pit of people that simply exist. Set yourself apart from the crowd and do everything that your heart is telling you and everything that you aspire to do.

I hope you all have a fantastic May and accomplish a lot. Stay positive and do everything you want to do!

Don’t just dream it, do it!

Be the tallest oak

Posted in Life, Quotes
on April 4, 2014

This has very quickly become my favourite quote. I’ve never actually seen or heard this one before and I love it already. Obviously I found this quote whilst scrolling through the amazing pinterest and it really stood out to me. I hope it inspires you just as much!e8af694cb747d4854d1b8c77639fbc6dThere are so many people that have huge aspirations but do not persue them because ‘they are too difficult to get’ and become brainwashed into believing that they are not capable of acheiving them. However, if you hold your ground like the oak, you become so tall and beautiful that it is well worth the climb. This quote spoke volumes to me because I often prevent myself from doing things because of what other people may think of me or say about me behind my back, so instead I find myself being manipulated into being unhappy, bored and essencially depriving me of growing as a person.

If friends/family/peers judge you, then hold your ground and stand up for yourself. Obviously theres no need to be rude or aggressive about it but nobody should deprive you of doing exactly what you want. Dismiss their negative behaviour because the people in your life that matter will support you and encourage you to follow your dreams. Once you have stood your ground, you will grow and grow and become so tall, other people will look up to your successes – even the people who tried to hold you back.

The most successful people out there started off with nothing. They made tiny steps towards their goals and became so successful, ‘the tallest oak in the forest’. Every single person starts out the same, there is no head starts or advantages. Every oak begins life as a nut, it is the ones that push themselves to stick it through that become the tallest and make themselves stand out.

If you fight for what you want, you will get exactly where you want to be. Make small steps each day towards your goals because you are more than capable of being the tallest oak in the forest.

March has been such a great month. I’ve made some new choices and have decided to choose a much happier route. I’ve been really into uplifting quotes, positive thinking, and self help books recently and I’ve seen a massive difference just this month. Seeing a slight difference in myself has meant a lot – I can’t wait for the upcoming months now! QuotesSome of the things I wanted to share with you are:

1. Although this wasn’t planned in March, I wanted to include it in this post. NEXT MONTH I AM GOING TO MCBUSTED! I was heartbroken when busted announced their split, and I honestly never thought that in 10 years I would be going to see them! I just can’t wait!

2. Last month I decided that I wanted to get my blog out there a bit, and so started a new twitter account dedicated to my blog. I am so glad that I did, I have spoken to so many other amazing bloggers through it and I am so impressed with the whole blogging community. So thank you to the people who have followed and tweeted me, Katie Piper being one of them!!

3. The main purpose of this blog post though was to share with you that I AM GOING TO IRELAND!!! From being so young, it has been a huge dream of mine to go to there – I have no idea where it came haha but I will finally be able to cross it off my bucket list!

4. This month I have seen so many improvements in myself; from choosing who I speak to, the things I read/watch, and from finding lots of inspirational quotes, it has really helped me become a happier person.

5. I really wish there was a five to even it out a bit, but there isn’t. So here I will insert a little quote for you haha: ALWAYS FIND TIME FOR THE THINGS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY TO BE ALIVE.

Hope you all have a fantastic April!
